• The surface of Cutimed Sorbact dressing is impregnated with DACC (dialkyl carbamoyl chloride), a highly hydrophobic fatty acid derivative. In humid environments, bacteria and fungi present in the wound are attracted by the surface of Cutimed Sorbact following the natural law of the hydrophobic interaction. They are irreversibly captured by the fibers impregnated with DACC, and fail to return to the wound bed.
