• The OptiLube brand is a range of class IIa sterile lubricating gel which is available in many different formats.OptiLube is a water based, water soluble gel, which has a non sticky, non greasy formulation. OptiLube will not damage rubber or metal and is safe to use on human tissue.
• It can be used for procedures such as endoscopy, urethral catheter, introduction of probes, insertion rectal thermometers, enemas and similar types enemas. Lubricating gels are widely used in gynecological and ohter hospital procedures.
• Available in sachets, tubes and syringes.
• Sachets of OptiLube sterile lubricating jelly for individual use. These sachets eliminate the risk of patient contamination and are ideal for a convenient application. Available in either 2.7g or 5g.
• The classic choice of clinicians. OptiLube sterile lubricating jelly is available in 42g and 82g tubes. Now also available in 5g mini tubes and a large 113g tube.
•  OptiLube sterile lubricating jelly is available in 6ml (for female) and 11ml (for male) pre-filled syringes, for precise application. Each pre-filled syringe is sterile and individually wrapped in sterile packaging. The primary purpose of this gel is lubricating, but also contains an antiseptic (chlorhexidine gluconate) to reduce the risk of infection and a local anesthetic (lidocaine) to reduce the pain associated with these procedures.
